TEMPLE CHURCH
11 miles from Kenn Parish
The 'leaning tower' and walls of this large late medieval church survived bombing during the Second World War. The graveyard is now a peaceful public garden.
STANTON DREW CIRCLES AND COVE
12 miles from Kenn Parish
Although this is the third largest complex of prehistoric standing stones in England, the three circles and three-stone ‘cove’ of Stanton Drew in Somerset are surprisingly little known. The Great Circle, 113 metres in diameter, is one of the largest stone circles in the country and has 26 surviving upright stones. Yet recent surveys have revealed that the circles and cove were just part of a much more elaborate and important ritual site than had previously been imagined.

St John the Evangelist Church is in the Yatton Moor Parish which is also part of the Yatton Moor ministry Team.
We are an inclusive church welcoming all. We have a regular pattern of services that offer different styles through the month and we have a close relationship with All Saints' Church in Kingston Seymour as we share a priest and offer a joint service once a month at each church. We regularly run study groups that meet in homes and the church rooms across the parish to explore our faith. We are committed to journeying together, encouraging each other in faith, sharing our story and reaching out to our local communities.
We have a House for Duty Priest who is part of committed lay and ordained team and together we are looking forward to exploring how we continue to journey in faith engaging with our local community, and the rest of Yatton Moor Team.
If you are interested in getting married in church or having a baptism then please contact Fran (our house for duty priest) at [email protected] for more information.
There is currently a vacancy for team Rector.
